What is MRSS?

Mobile Response & Stabilization Services (MRSS) is a comprehensive program that provides crisis de-escalation, stabilization and linkage services available to youth ages 0 to 20 and their families. MRSS staff meet with youth and families in person wherever they are to provide intensive services to address emotional and/or behavioral issues that require intervention. Families can stay with MRSS for up to 42 days.

What can MRSS Help With?

Here are just a few examples of the issues and behaviors that the MRSS staff will be able to help with:

  • Escalating emotional or behavioral issues
  • Mental health issues
  • Addiction and substance abuse
  • Physical and emotional trauma
  • School truancy
  • Running away from home
  • Parent/child or caregiver/child conflicts

How do I connect with MRSS?

The first step is your call. When you dial 1-888-418-MRSS (6777), you will talk with a trained staff person about what’s happening. An MRSS staff person will work with you to make arrangements for responding to where you are. The staff person will gather any critical information and will make arrangements to meet you at an agreed upon location.
