The ADAMHS Board wants you to have accurate information about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Learn the facts about the most commonly abused drugs. Each drug page has a link to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). The pages hosted by NIDA include a brief overview, street and clinical names, the effects of the drug on the brain and body, statistics and trends, and relevant publications and articles written by NIDA researchers and scientists.

Drug information contained in these pages is from NIDA. This link takes you directly to the NIDA website: www.drugabuse.gov/drugs-abuse.

Substance use disorders are chronic brain disorders that are treatable. If you or someone you know needs help, please contact (216) 623-6888. This is the ADAMHS Board's 24-hour mental health and addiction crisis hotline.
