Home MenuClient Information
The ADAMHS Board provides a variety of outreach and support services to our clients, including Clients Rights support, linkage to services, advocacy opportunities, education and annual events.
Clients Rights Support
The ADAMHS Board has Clients Rights Officers on staff who can assist clients with concerns or problems they are having with mental health or addiction services they are receiving. Clients Rights Officer Bill Hebble, MSW and Diana Clifford can be reached by email or phone by calling (216) 241-3400.
They can also help individuals find services for themselves or their loved ones. However, if you are in crisis, need immediate support or referral to services, please call (216) 623-6888 to reach the Cuyahoga County 24-Hour Suicide Prevention, Mental Health/Addiction Crisis, Information and Referral Hotline.
The ADAMHS Board publishes yearly clients rights reports and has published a clients rights manual.
Advocacy Opportunities
The ADAMHS Board supports clients in advocating for themselves and the services they need.
The ADAMHS Board supports the Action Committee Advocating Change (ACAC), which is a dedicated group of advocates comprised entirely of behavioral health clients. We also support statewide advocacy days and have put together bus trips to send clients to the statehouse to advocate. The ADAMHS Board has a Recovery Speakers Bureau for individuals living in recovery from mental illness and/or addiction who would like to share their stories as recovery advocates. Visit the Recovery Speakers Bureau page if you would like to join the Bureau or learn additional information.
Education
ADAMHS Board clients are invited to attend monthly Client Lunch-n-Learns to enjoy a free meal and learn about important topics regarding mental health and addiction services.
