About:
Hitchcock Center for Women provides recovery services to women diagnosed with substance use disorders. The services provided span the continuum of care, from assessment to the highest level of care, residential. They allow women with multiple children up to the age of twelve to reside on-site while participating in treatment. Pregnant women, women with co-occurring mental health needs and those receiving MAT services from other providers are accepted. Their services include outpatient services, residential treatment, aftercare, recovery housing and alumni support. This service program integration enables clients to reclaim their lives, by promoting self-sufficiency, responsibility, and empowerment. They also provide non-traditional approaches to support the ways women communicate and heal. Reiki, Yoga, and Expressive therapies (art, dance and music), are used to engage and assist women in therapeutic expression of feelings and thoughts. Childcare is provided in the community for any woman bringing a child with her to treatment to support the needs of the children. School-age children, preK through 8th grade, attend Willson School which is in walking distance of the agency.
