Supervision: Creating a Safe Space for Learning & Difficult Conversations
Supervision is purposed to provide social workers with access to a learning environment which creates opportunities to exchange information towards transformational learning. To accomplish this task, supervision must be intentionally entered with goals developed through collaboration with both the supervisor and supervisee. Supervisors will learn how to engage supervisees in a learning experience which encourages knowledge acquisition, validates their ideas, while ensuring they are equipped to provide ethical and culturally responsive services.
