Acting Out! Three Day Arts Fest for Mental Health Awareness

The ADAMHS Board of Cuyahoga County is sponsoring Acting Out! a Three-day Arts Fest for Mental Health Awareness on October 19, 20, & 21, 2016.

The goal of Acting Out! to break down stigma and create awareness of mental illness and addiction through a three-day series of public art events, including film, visual art, music, comedy and a panel discussion.

Wednesday, October 19
COMEDY at Happy Dog West
(5800 Detroit Road, Cleveland)
8:00 p.m.
A special show by local comics who have been diagnosed with mental health, dual diagnosis or addiction.

Thursday, October 20
TALK at Happy Dog West (5800 Detroit Road, Cleveland)
7:00 p.m.

A panel of mental health and addiction professionals

FILM at Capitol Theatre  (1390 W. 65, Cleveland)
8:30 p.m.
Special screening of the award winning documentary, Forced Perspective, an intimate character portrait of artist Derek Hess who is in recovery from alcohol addiction and bipolar disorder, followed by Q&A.

Friday, October 21
MUSIC at Happy Dog West (5800 Detroit Road, Cleveland)
9:00 p.m.
Live music from popular local bands.
